Komité Ayiti, Inc. (KAI), a Haitian grassroots organization registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. It aims to provide programs that connect the community to educational, social, and cultural resources, with the goal of promoting of promoting and supporting community development within the greater Baltimore area.
Founded in 2016, Komité Ayiti, Inc., advocates for the Haitian community in the Baltimore and abroad, fostering connections and support networks.
Our mission is to:

Conduct mission trips to provide disadvantaged Haitians with opportunities for growth so that they may become independent citizens able to contribute to their communities and support themselves and their families.

Collect and distribute donations of financial contributions, clothing, school supplies, food, and essential living provisions. These resources are aimed at addressing significant health, legal, academic, infrastructure, and socio-economic challenges impacting Haitians in the U.S. and abroad.

Promote understanding and appreciation of Haitian culture to dispel stereotypes surrounding Haitian people and traditions. Our activities include educational series, Haitian Creole classes, celebrations of Haitian Independence Day and Haitian Flag Day, as well as Haitian Caribbean Community Day, and more.
